Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds soul gospel jazz and R&B with a distinctive mix. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, Avery Sunshine has been a hit all over the world. Sunshine, whose given name is Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta, her roots are located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she was the first to begin pursuing an interest in music, singing and playing the piano at church. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical training began on Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single to feature her vocals was Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan It was later remixed by a variety of producers and has become an essential part in her live show. She has also contributed her voice to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. The band was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. In 2007, Grammy as well as Tony Awards-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was brought to the attention of all of the country during daily performances of four at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later asked to sing in the presence of President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
