Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia is a native of Canada. She is well-known among Canadians because of her character as an Canadian actress on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. She also appeared in Venevision Telenovelas Cosita linda and Voltea and a'que te love. Model and dancer by profession, Toubia has also achieved great success in both of these fields. A Montreal resident, she was born and raised in Texas and has been attracted to performing. When she was a young girl she began to learn different forms of dancing. When she was 15 years old, she was competing in beauty pageants. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia was a household name in 2008 after she appeared in Nuestra Bella Latina's second season, which is a Univision beauty contest show. Toubia made her acting debut in 2010, portraying receptionist on an episode of Telemundo's telenovela Aurora. In 2015, she appeared in her debut feature film, an action drama called Tattooed Love.
